Make It 8 and CityLax Host Lacrosse Clinics at St. Sebastian Catholic Academy

St. Sebastian Catholic Academy, Queens, NY

Make It 8, the Columbia Men’s Lacrosse Alumni Association, recently held two lacrosse clinics at St. Sebastian Catholic Academy in Woodside, Queens, for its seventh-grade boys and girls gym classes. Hosted in partnership with CityLax, each clinic introduced lacrosse fundamentals through catching, passing, cradling, scooping, dodging, and shooting drills on a 6’x6’ goal.

The event began with a history of the oldest team sport in North America, which native Americans call the “Medicine Game.” St. Sebastian also received thirty STX Stallion 50 lacrosse sticks donated by Make It 8 as a part of its community outreach program. All sticks included Hero 4.0 Semi Soft mesh and were custom-dyed by Lacrosse Unlimited in Red Bank, NJ.
